Scholarship Keys is about achieving success through education.

Scholarship Keys was established by Dr. John Mitchell in 2011 in an effort to advance opportunities for students to attend college and reduce their college costs. As part of the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) for Scholarship Keys, we are trying to reverse the ever increasing student loan debt occurring in the United States. Shrinking the nearly $1 trillion in student loan debt is what we are striving to do.

Dr. Mitchell is the former CEO of the world’s largest university honor society and while there, awarded over $1 million in scholarships to students around the globe annually. Scholarship Keys shares decades of insights Dr. Mitchell has gained from behind the scenes, practical experience, and research with university leaders to better enable students and their families to reduce or eliminate the costs associated with college.

Many of these tips and techniques are provided free of charge via video lectures, podcasts and blogs. Scholarship Keys believes strongly that you should never pay someone to apply for a scholarship or an award on your behalf.

When giving a live presentation Dr. Mitchell is occasionally asked, “Why do you keep on giving these presentations and providing this information?” as this is his pastime, not his career. His response is simple. When he first started sharing many of these ideas, he assumed they were common knowledge. When he realized how helpful the tools and information was in assisting families to better cope with the ever rising costs of college – it just became his way of giving back.

Dr. Mitchell believes strongly that every student who wants a college education should have that opportunity, and sees the rising cost as a significant barrier that can be overcome.
